Gouache

Batman Tercabik

Kelelawar mati.

Entah....

Gambar ini di Instagram.

Digital Sketch 2010 08 27

Just a little update. I just have this digital sketch to share. At first I just wanted to doodle with Adobe Illustrator, but it came pretty nice. So, I use it for my Twitter page. Yes, my tweets are mostly in Bahasa.

Okay, see you next post.

Digital Sketch 2010 08 16

So, I got nothing to complain. Benar-benar belajar banyak.

Tragedy of Majene

These images show the process from sketches to finished infographics. I was only directing, not actually done the whole infographics.

The image above scanned from my scrapbook, then KVA —a colleague of mine— translated my sketch into beautiful infographics below. Last but not least, YS —the editor— edited the texts to fit the entire layout.

Enjoy.

Adu Panco

Ink by Kendra, colors by me.

This illustration are using a method I never tried before. First, Kendra drew the line arts on two sheet of photocopy papers—any kind you can get. He scanned the pieces then, using a laser jet printer, I printed it on Carson paper 160g. Lastly I water colored it.

Kendra colored it with Photoshop for the published version.

Not bad, ay?

Sketchbook 2008 09 25

Few sketches before I went to Hong Kong. Showing a good use of brush pen. Unfortunately the pens aren't always available in art supply store. Sucks!

Sketchbook 2008 09 19 (updated)

This is a sketch for my friend in New York. She's writing a children story book about a leaf that delayed the winter. I like story. Full of thoughts and emotions.

Uptated 20081010
I'm having some trouble in the composition process of the illustrations. The angle and the range of the repeated objects, mostly.

Sketchbook 2008 05 23

A scratch of Wacom. Do any of you have a "Time Extending" machine? I'm wondering why the hell do I always feel that time is not on my side.

Hey! I'm going to Mount Gede this Sunday. Some say, it's freezing this time of year. Icy cold.

And I will have something B-I-G this year. You just have to wait to know what it is. But some of you may already know.... I don't know.

Sketchbook 2008 03 12

One of my colleague like to writes stories and reads comics, but he doesn't draw comic. Then, he handed me a few stories. I 'freely' adapt the stories he made to comics. For the short stories, I plan to fully paint them. I don't have any particular reason, I'll be just experiments.

These are the sketches and thumbnails:

No excuses for lack of updates. Damn, a lot of things consume my time these two weeks. I hope next week, everything will not be so punishing.

Sketchbook 2008 02 22

Eksperimen dengan jalur dan bentuk balon udara.

An experiment on balloons.

Few character that might be used for my next comic. The script is already there—even though it doesn't look like one. I almost certain to use the last character.

The house in the first panel would be a study on the setting in the comic I mentioned earlier. Later on, my hands uncontrollably was drawing another story—a story long forgotten.

P.S. Today is my grandma's birthday!
